Fionuala “Irish” Seymour

Obituary
Fionuala Seymour was a beautiful and caring person in her loving ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Fionuala was born on July 24, 1940 in Dublin, Ireland. She was the daughter of John and Frances Flahive. Fionuala was raised with nine siblings, two brothers Frank and John, seven sisters Betty, Peggy, Pat, Ann, Una, Katherine and Susan. Fionuala was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. Fionuala came to the US in 1959 as a nanny.
On January 14, 1961 Fionuala married her first husband, Arthur Seymour. Fionuala was blessed with four children, three sons, Michael, Matthew and Mark, and one daughter, Michelle. Another blessing was the gift of seven grandchildren Brandon, Adam, Vonna, Donald, Amanda, Nathaniel, and Mitchell and eleven great-grandchildren Adam, Boyd, AnaLisa, J.T., Zayley, Quindalynn, Matilda, OakLee, Chandler, Preston, and Klover
Fortunately, Fionuala enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Fionuala worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was a club manager. Fionuala always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Fionuala was a competitive person when it came to playing her favorite sports. She loved to shoot pool and darts. She enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team (Dodgers) whenever she had the chance to do so.
Fionuala was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Prettyboy, a cockatiel.
Fionuala passed away on March 15, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones in Temecula, California. She is survived by her children Michael, Michelle, Mathew, Mark, 6 grandchildren, and11 great grandchildren. Services were held at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, California.
Simply stated, Fionuala was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was an important part of their lives. Fionuala leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember her.
