
A description of a Southern Lady...Lots of class, mixed with just the right amount of sass, that’s what makes  a TRUE Southern Lady.  Jan definitely was a true Southern lady.

Janice “Jan”  Crawford Davis was born on April 24, 1936 in Jackson Mississippi.  Jan passed away peacefully while she slept on March 17, 2019 just three months after Bob, her husband of 53 years passed away.  She and Bob lived in Glendora at their lovely home on La Fetra Drive for 48 years.

Jan was born and raised in Jackson MS just as her father and mother Herman & May Hitch Crawford were before her and also her younger sister Beth.  Jan  graduated from high school in Jackson and was Homecoming Queen in her senior year.   Jan graduated from Louisiana State University where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority.  She also graduated from Delta Airlines Stewardess Training School after which she flew with Delta as a Stewardess based in Dallas TX for 8 years.  She met Bob while she was still flying with Delta  but when they married in1966 she happily “gave up her wings” for Bob, the love of her life.  They lived in Bethesda MD for a short time where their daughter Susan was born on Bob’s birthday, October 10th and moved to Glendora in 1970.

Jan and Bob were active members of Glenkirk Church in  Glendora for many years.  They served as Stephen Ministers, Greeters and participated in many activities such  the Homeless Ministry.  They also were in a Small Group Bible Study which my husband Norm and I were blessed to be a  part of. 

And now my dear friend Jan and Bob, Rest In Peace and PERFECT health in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.



What an honor it was to know Mr. and Mrs. Davis. They were both so precious and touched so many lives. I will always cherish the times we met for dinner and our wonderful conversations. I only regret not getting together more. I thank God for putting them in my life, and I am also so thankful that I got to visit right before I moved out of state. I know they are both  in the arms of Jesus and I look forward to seeing them in Heaven.
