John was born to Stanley and Ardus Marriner of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
He was raised in Hamilton, Canada. John was an active weight lifter and loved to coach and play hockey. He loved people, knew no strangers, relished in good jokes and pranks. John moved his family to Glendora, California in 1959. He was employed with Kratos Instrument until retirement.
John and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of sixty years; his daughter Karen Marriner; his grandchildren Christy and Steven; his great grandson-in-law Brandon Weaver; one brother Jim and his wife Cathy of Canada. He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Ardus Marriner, as well as his children, Tim and Carol Marriner.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 11 at Oakdale Mortuary Chapel in Glendora, California between the hours 5:00-8:30 pm. Memorial Services will be held March 12 at Oakdale Chapel at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at Golden Spur in Glendora, from 12:30-3:00.
