Jonathan Daniel Robles was born on February 20, 1982 in Los Angeles, California. Jonathan “Jon” Robles resided in Pasadena, California with his mother Jennifer until the age of nine.
In 1990, he moved to Monrovia, California with his mom and stepfather Steve Simpson and welcomed the birth of his two sisters, Jillian and Stephanie.
In 2004, Jon moved to Glendora with his mom and his sisters.
Jonathan “Jon” was a born leader, comic, and all-around wonderful human. As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, bleeding green since 8/15/1991, he carried that same loyalty and passion into every part of his life.
Jonathan loved and played sports year-round at CARE Youth League in Arcadia, California. He attended Rio Hondo Prep School and graduated from Monrovia High School.
At a very young age, he was hired by Verizon Wireless, where he would spend his entire work career.
Jonathan met a young lady named Cynthia Rojas. Together, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Nautica Robles, on August 31, 2002.
Nautica was his pride and joy. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for her.
His proudest “dad” moments were watching her graduate from Seattle University, then being accepted into the USC graduate program.
Jonathan had a residence in Los Angeles and proudly had Nautica living with him as she entered her first year at USC.
Jonathan made an impact on everyone he knew. He was an inspiring person—a wonderful father, son, brother, friend, and mentor.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Julie Serna, whom he adored.
Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Nautica Robles; mother, Jennifer Serna Simpson; sisters, Jillian and Stephanie Simpson; niece, Serenity Raven; grandfather, Daniel Serna; aunts, Valerie Serna, Monica Serna, and Cheryl Gossett; and countless family and friends.
A special acknowledgment to the Rojas, Serna, and Verizon Wireless family, along with Mary Helen Lujan and Joseph Polanco.
