Jose R. Hernandez, 81, of Covina, CA., passed away on January13, from natural causes.

King David said of Abner the commander-in-chief of the army of Israel. "Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel”? The king and all the people mourned Abner’s death. This describes the love and respect we all shared for our father, he was a prince and great man. It also describes the sorrow we are now experiencing at this moment for our Dad. He was a wonderful father to us all, he was strong, loyal, wise, loving, faithful, compassionate, gracious and honest. We all have so many wonderful memories to cherish with our father, and we’re all so thankful to God for blessing us with him for so many wonderful years. God blessed us with the perfect father, that was fit just for us. Jose is survived by his 5 children, Joe Hernandez (son), and four daughters, Angie Palacio, Patty Hernandez, Maria Rodriguez, and Deanna Montoya. He was also grandpa to 15 grandchildren, who loved and adored their “Apa.” And a great grandfather to 17 great grandchildren. Our father treated us all with the same love and care. He always made himself available to all of us individually. In 2014, our mother Rosa passed away, they were married 57 years. Our Mother was the love of his life, and the love of our lives. Our dad and mom always worked hard to provide for us, and to give us everything we needed. We never went without … We all look forward to the day… when we're all reunited with our Dad and Mom. We will always love and miss them so much, and will always cherish our special moments that we were able to share together with them.
