

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Kelly Taylor, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away at the age of 93 at his home in Azusa, California. Kelly will be forever remembered by his wife of 58 years and best friend, Alma, their daughter April Dawn, grandsons Michael and Justin, and daughter-in-law Lyndel. Kelly will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Kelly Taylor proudly served in the Korean War as a Corporal in the US Army, 40th Division, Artillery. He received the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan) and Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star and most recently received the Ambassador for Peace Metal from the Ministry of Patriots & Veterans Affairs. Kelly worked for the Los Angeles Times and Union Oil, but the majority of his career was spent working for Lockheed Skunk Works. He was preceded in death by his father Tom Dacy Taylor, mother Stella Black, and siblings, Doug, Asa, Morgan, Maxine, Lida, Alyne, Evalena, Wanda, and Zilpah (Zip). Born December 5, 1927 in Sulpher, Kentucky, Kelly was the youngest son in a family of 10 siblings and was the last child of Tom Dacy Taylor and Stella Black to pass. He continued to love his home state of Kentucky and spoke of it often, even during the final days of his life. A funeral service in memory of Kelly will be held on Thursday, May 20, at 3:00pm at Oakdale Mortuary and Memorial Park 1401 S Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740
