I knew Kevin when we were in school. West Covina Christian. He was loved by everyone and he loved everyone too. His smile was contagious and his eyes, oh those eyes. When we went to Whittier Christian High, every morning six of us would hop into Mr. Aldridge's Volkswagen Bus, and take the drive from West Covina to Whittier every day. Those were fun times, I will always cherish and keep in the precious treasury in my heart. Our first two kittens we ever had, we got from the Hemsley's. Puff and Tuff.. They had seven toes in front and six in the back. Although I knew from my mom that Kevin lived in Phelan, I never did get back in touch with him.. Now I wish I had. I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for strength and comfort for his family. Kevin has always held a special place in my heart.

Kevin Hemsley was a dear cousin that opened up his home to family and cared for everyone that stepped inside. My interactions with him were pleasant and joyful at times. I wish his close family members peace as they celebrate and remember the life he lived.

Rest in Peace Cousin.  Though I only met you once, I feel for your family and I know that love and time will help them heal.  My thoughts are with you and your family.

Kevin Howard Hemsley the way I perceived him was as an Angel. He gave love unconditionally. He had the greatest laugh. A smile that was so magnetic. A sweet sincere voice full of enlightment and wisdom. A leader on how to treat ones wife, ones parents, ones siblings, ones children, ones grand children, ones extended family. He shared fun days with the lucky people in his life by going to the beach, skiing, art, Disneyland, and more. He was a dedicated employee in the meat cutting business, and he was an expert at this craft. He was a protector of love and goodness, and he stood up for compassion and empathy. He was a care giver to his late son Kevin Jr. for Kevin Jr.'s whole life, and he did it with true love. I love Kevin for who he was and what he gave, and that he allowed all of us into his world of beauty, goodness, fun, sincerity, and love. He is an Angel and I have been blessed by him. I am a better person because of his example on how to live life here on earth and how to survive it by truly loving the people you choose to love and giving them your self. I remember as a little girl I had gone into Kevin's bedroom in Covina California. He was five years older than me. I was a niave little girl just sitting on his bed. He was not home. His mother, my late Aunt Jeri  came into his bedroom and saw me sitting there with a big smile on my face. She said what are you doing. I said I am snooping around Kevin's room. I said, I am going to marry Kevin, I love him. My Aunt Jeri said, no you are not, he is your cousin. I said oh I did not know you can not marry a cousin. So we agreed I could love him for the wonderful person he is and never stop loving his goodness. So that was my first knowledge that Kevin was truly an Angel sent from god to lead me and others to understanding what real love is. I am so grateful he was in my life. Peace be with you Dear Kevin. Peace be with his beautiful wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, father, sister in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, all his face book friends, his acquaintances, and everyone else who's lives he has touched in this very short amount of time that we got to be a part of him.
