Letty De La Torre

If you knew our mom, you knew she was the absolute star shining in every room she walked into. Her loud, contagious laugh could fill a room, and she had a way of greeting everyone that made them feel immediately welcomed, loved, and included. She had the biggest and most giving heart. She loved God deeply, never met a stranger, and had an incredible gift for making everyone around her feel like they belonged.

Our mom was full of life. She definitely had her crazy, fun moments, and she could make us laugh simply by being her wonderfully honest, unapologetic self. Whether she was dancing, picking out the perfect gift for someone she loved, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying quiet moments together, she cherished the time she had with the people who meant the most to her.

Her faith, her generosity, her laughter, and her love were at the center of who she was. She gave so much of herself to the people around her, and her presence had a way of making life brighter.

Above all, she loved her big family, her husband, daughters and grandson deeply. The memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain with us forever.

We miss her more than words can express. While our hearts are broken by her absence, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with her. Her joy, her kindness, her faith, and her beautiful spirit will live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She may no longer be walking into the room, but her light will forever be there.
