Louis D. Trammell

Louis D. Trammell was born on April 22, 1940 in Los Angeles, California and passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Trammell, who enjoyed 35 years of marriage, and daughter Valerie Trammell; his first wife Soledad Trammell and sons Louis Trammell Jr., Christopher Trammell, Phillip Trammell, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and his Saint Bernard Emmi. In his earlier years, Louis served as an MP in the US Air Force, with SAC A1C - 392ND, Combat Defense SQ 4400, and Global Defense GRP. After a brief stint as an officer of the LAPD in the 60s, he enjoyed a 30-year career as a bus driver and instructor with RTD/MTA Transportation. During his military service is when he found his true passion - competing and teaching Jujitsu and Judo. Over the course of 45 years, he taught martial arts to hundreds of students in the community, cementing his eternal legacy as Sensei Lou.
Louis was an animal lover and avid outdoorsman for his entire life. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a local animal shelter or the Yosemite Conservancy.
