February 17, 2025, at the age of 74. Lucia was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a cherished sister, and a friend to many. She was larger than life, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Born on May 11, 1950, Lucia grew up in Irwindale, California, the beloved daughter of Miguel and Eva Miranda. She was the proud sister of Michael, Mark, and Marilyn, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Though Marilyn and her parents preceded her in death, Lucia carried their love and memories with her always. In 1969, Lucia married the love of her life, John Fraijo, and together they built a beautiful family. Their love was deep and unwavering, a true partnership that stood the test of time. Though John passed before her, Lucia’s heart remained forever devoted to him. Her greatest joy was their four children—Darlene, John, Barbara, and David—who, along with her nine grandchildren (Lauren, Sarah, Jalen, Brandon, John, Kylee, Joel, Jessica, and Michael), were the center of her world. There was nothing she was more proud of than her family, and she showed it in every way possible. She never missed a game, a performance, or a special event, always the loudest cheerleader and the warmest supporter. Lucia dedicated 33 years of hard work and friendship to Miller Brewing Co., where she was known for her generosity and her ability to brighten any room. Her love for sports was unmatched—she quite literally fell asleep and woke up to the Tennis Channel every day, and she could talk sports with just about anyone. Her energy was magnetic, her laughter contagious, and her heart boundless. Whether she was sharing stories, making friends in the grocery store line, or hosting family gatherings, she made every moment memorable. Lucia’s generosity knew no limits. She gave selflessly, not just to her family, but to anyone who needed her—offering love, support, and sometimes just the right words at the right time. She lived with a passion for life, an unwavering loyalty to those she loved, and a presence that could never be ignored. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28, at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Irwindale, followed by a burial at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora. Afterward, family and friends are invited to a reception to share memories and celebrate her incredible life.Though Lucia is no longer physically with us, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. She taught us how to love fiercely, laugh loudly, and give without hesitation. We will carry her legacy forward, honoring her with every game watched, every story shared, and every act of kindness given in her name.
