Writing something about your beautiful soul has always felt simple because there’s never a shortage of things to say, until today (because my max is 2000). You have truly shaped me as a young lady and you’ve given me the support of more than just a grandmother, you’ve given me the support of a parental figure and a best friend as well. I am so grateful to have had you right there whenever you were needed, I would never have to worry about who would be there for me or my siblings because it was always you. Every morning we would wake up to catch you already wide awake in the kitchen reading your bible and drinking your café con leche and having a piece of bread. Of course you’d start breakfast shortly after, because it’s just in your nature to tend to those you love. Sitting in your kitchen there’s been an abundance of memories made that I would never take back. From the times you’d let me and tori bake and play to the times I tried to cook for you and I almost burnt the house down. When we were younger our days would be filled with accompanying you on many errands or just simple shopping trips that usually turned out in you buying us more clothes than we needed. The joy of just being around you was so great that even getting to take turns sleeping next to you, in my tia elsa’s bed, was something we took seriously so whoever was sleeping over got a fair turn. I remeber when we laid down and I would face you, you would rub the side of my face and ask “quien te ama más que yo?” And my immediate answer was always “no one grandma “ and you’d correct me by saying “solo dios te ama más que yo” I know you loved us all so much and I cant imagine how one person could emit so much genuine love to their family and friends all at the same time. I have so many more memories I’d love to type but to keep myself from ranting I would like to say that your love for me was enough to last a lifetime times 10 and I could never love someone more than I love you. Thank you.

We’re really gonna miss you Tia!
The memories I have as a child growing up going to the house in highland park having fun with all my cousins, such a big family we are. I remember everyone gathering at the house and us kids just running around everywhere, the grown ups having coffee with cinnamon in it. That’s how my Tia Luciana would make it. Then we got older and into a little trouble but you loved us the same and Tudy, OMG! how you loved him extra. You always looked out for us and loved all of us. I’m also glad you got to meet Vicky and the kids. Most of all Thank you Tia for showing your love to us. Say Hi to the family for us Tia, we love you The Ureña Family.

I loved seeing my grandmothers face every time we would come visit. My grandma loved us as her own children even if we didt see her as much as her own kids. According to my aunt my grandmother hid the remote from me and my cousin but we ended up taking it back. The most vivid memory I have of my grandmother is when someone was laughing at my sister and I and my grandma confronted her. Another memory I have of my grandmother is every time I would sleep with her she would say “brenda i get this half” but I think she meant I get this third because I would almost fall off the bed. My grandmother was a very funny person at times.

Grandma you were one of the most influential people in my life your love, selflessness, and strength knew no bounds. You showed me how to be a giving person. I remember you would pick us up most weekends my brother cousins and I and keep us at your house. While there you made it seem like there was nothing more important than loving on us and of course feeding us. You would make an array of food cause we all liked something different. Which is good cause as my dad puts it "tienes el mismo sason que mi mom" well I hope I'm 1/2 the cook you were and be able to give 1/2 the love you gave us to my future grandchildren. I will forever miss you!

MOM had a KIND heart I remember while on vacation with my sisters. Mom meet this young lady who was sleeping in the park and she decided to open her home to her. When we returned home she said to us "you left now someone else has replaced you." She was obviously kidding, hahaha.
Mom was such a generous and giving person never thought about herself. I was blessed to have her as my mom someone so kind. Mom you will always be in my HEART...
