Lydia Nieves Garcia

Lydia Nieves Garcia was born on August 5, 1934 in Pirtleville, Arizona and passed away on May 26, 2026 in Azusa, California, and is under the care of Oakdale Mortuary & Memorial Park, Glendora. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teodoro Garcia, who passed away on June 7, 2019. Lydia Nieves Garcia was a beloved matriarch, survived by her seven daughters- Deborah Alonzo, Diane Arias, Denise Madrid, Yvette Jordan, Yvonne Huerta, Christine Salinas, Annette Miranda, five sons-in-law -Robert Alonzo, Patrick Arias, Gilbert Huerta, Salvador Salinas, Robert Miranda, twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Lydia Nieves was loved by all who knew her. She was a faithful servant, a strong leader in her parish community and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family she loved dearly. She will always be remembered in the hearts of many. May her beautiful legacy flourish for generations to come.

A rosary will be held on July 1, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Saint Frances of Rome Church , 501 E Foothill Blvd, Azusa, California.

A Catholic Mass will be held on July 2, 2026 at 10:00 am at Saint Frances of Rome Church , 501 E Foothill Blvd, Azusa, California.
