

Margaret was born November 27, 1928 as Margaret Ann Schimmele to Marie Martha Schimmele and Leslie Carl Schimmele, on a Farm in Blue Earth County Minnesota where she spent much of her early years. She attended the local grade school where she often rode her pony to school and would then send the pony home by itself and she would take the school bus home.
The family lived in Washington State during World War II where her parents worked in the shipyards and later returned to Mapleton, Minnesota where Margaret graduated from Mapleton High School class of 1946.
She married William (Bill) Latourelle on May 24th 1952 and went on to have three boys Thomas, Joseph and Dale.
They continued living in Mapleton until 1959 when they took their young family along with her mother Marie and moved to El Monte, California where she started working for Cal Water that later became General Telephone. She worked for the company for 27 years and retired as a supply supervisor in 1987.
Margaret moved to La Puente, California in 1964 where they resided until 1979 when she and her husband along with her mother moved to La Verne, California where she spent the rest of her years and passed away on June 27, 2012.
Margaret was an active member of the American Legion woman’s auxiliary where she served two terms as president 2006/07 and 2009/10 at unit 180 in Azusa California. In addition to her service with the American Legion, she was a long time member of the Eagles. Margaret enjoyed her retirement and kept busy with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Leslie in 1951, mother Marie in 1988, husband Bill in 1992 and brother Jerry in 1999.
She is survived by her three sons Tom, Joe and Dale, Tom’s wife Patti, their two children Chad and Kristin, and Joe’s three children Adam, Alan, and Will.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed!
