Margarita Vazquez Nunez, Margarita, who preferred to be called “Mago” by her kids and grandkids, departed from her loving family on May 1, 2026 near her home in Montclair, CA. Mago was born in Zapopan, Jalisco on June 14, 1945, to Martina Nunez and Ramon Vazquez and was the oldest of their 9 children. She was mother to Hector Alfaro, Alejandro Alfaro, Luis Alfaro Silvia Alva, Vanessa Alva. She raised her children with determination and perseverance in the City of La Puente, CA. Her hobbies included caring for her many birds and gardening. Her green thumb was so great, she could throw a pit of a fruit she ate into her garden, and in weeks, there would be a plant growing from it. She was most proud of the many fruit trees planted all over her home. She was also a social person who made many friends throughout her 80 years of life.
Services will be held at Oakdale Mortuary & Memorial Park on June 1, 2026, for Visitation and June 2, 2026, for Funeral services.
