Her passing occurred in Buena Park, CA, while lovingly surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Maria L. Limas was born on June 2, 1943, to her parents Jesus and Maria Perez, in Mexico City, Mexico. Raised in Juarez, Chihuahua, and El Paso, Texas, she went on to have six children in the United States: Rachel and Hector, born in El Paso, Texas, and Fernando, Gina, Vangie, and David, born in Los Angeles, California. Maria was also blessed with an additional son Jesus.
Once living in California, Maria embraced the challenges and financial adversities of raising six children with her husband, Juan Limas. She felt proud that her six children became productive adults with their own children.
Maria, or Lourdes as she was affectionately known, unconditionally, and unselfishly loved her children and supported them throughout her life through the many highs and difficulties of their lives. She was aware of the many challenges that life up brings. She made it her mission to demonstrate to her children at a young age that hard work and determination can lead one to a productive life.
Lourdes was also passionate about her faith in God and was one to help many by having the doors of her home open. With a beautiful heart, she offered her home as a sanctuary for a new beginning for those in need.
In her free time, she enjoyed visiting new places, spending time with friends and family, and especially quality time with those she held close and dearly.
When she splurged on herself, she would have fun getting her hair done by Joe and having her nails done with her daughter Gina. She loved when her children would take her on outings and explore.
To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement. Many of her friends (especially her good friends Julia, Mercedes, Alma, and Baudelia) would state that Lourdes was unselfish, sometimes to a fault. She often neglected the needs of herself for the needs and well-being of her many friends and family.
Maria L. Limas is survived by her daughters Rachel, Gina, and Vangie; her sons Jesus, Hector, Fernando, and David; her grandchildren, Susana, Lorraine, Stephanie, Jessie, Michael, Andrew, Ruben M, Javier, Steve, Eric, Angie, Ruben R, Fernando Jr, Nadean, Joshua, Samantha, (in memory of Matthew+, Anthony+), and her great-grandchildren and extended family members of the Munoz, Perez, Bobadilla, and Limas Family.
