Mario Alex Gutierrez

Mario “Alex” Gutierrez, beloved son, brother, and uncle was called to be with God on August 2, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on August 12,1956 in El Salvador to Julio Alberto Flores and Elsy Lidia Gutierrez. As a young boy he was mischievous and fearless, often skipping school to go swimming with friends at the local river. He spent his days playing with marbles, slingshots, and teasing his younger sisters. Alex had a vivid imagination and was a good storyteller. One of his favorite pranks was to tell his sisters half of a story then say “if you want to hear the rest give me five cents.” As a teenager, he played soccer, enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and watching movies.

Alex was a constant source of support and encouragement to his mother and siblings. As the eldest brother he protected, guided, and sometimes disciplined his siblings. Alex celebrated their successes and offered comfort during challenging times. Alex was also a kind and loving uncle who cherished his nieces and nephews. He was the pillar of the family and will be missed dearly by his parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

En celebración de la vida de Mario “Alex” Gutierrez

Mario “Alex” Gutierrez, querido hijo, hermano y tío fue llamado a estar con Dios el 2 de Agosto de 2025, a la edad de 68 años. Nació el 12 de Agosto de 1956 en El Salvador, hijo de Julio Alberto Flores y Elsy Lidia Gutierrez. De niño, era travieso y valiente, algunas veces faltaba a la escuela para ir a nadar en el rio con sus amigos. Disfrutaba jugar a las canicas, resorteras y hacerle travesuras a sus hermanas menores. Alex tenía una gran imaginación y era un buen narrador de historias. Una de sus bromas favoritas era contarle a sus hermanas la mitad de una historia y decir “si quieres escuchar el resto dame cinco centavos”. Como adolescente, jugaba al fútbol, disfrutaba escuchar música, bailar y ver películas.

Alex era una fuente constante de apoyo y aliento para su madre y hermanos. Como el mayor, protegía, guiaba y a veces disciplinaba a sus hermanos. Celebraba sus éxitos y ofrecía consuelo en momentos desafiantes. Alex también era un tío amable y cariñoso que valoraba a sus sobrinas y sobrinos. Era el pilar de la familia y será muy extrañado por sus padres, hermanos, sobrinas y sobrinos.
