I was saddened to hear of Martiza’s passing. I have many sweet and fond memories of Maritza from working with her at Chino Hospital and later on at Pomona Hospital. All the Thanksgiving dinners our families shared and the privilege of attending the same church and worshiping the Lord together.  I can clearly hear her say “in my country things are done like this,” or she would look at you when you were trying tease her and she would say “ don’t give me that Micky Mouse.” She loved her family dearly and was an extremely dedicated professional in her career as a medical coder. Later when my family and I move to another state we slowly lost track of each other. My thoughts and prayers are with Maritza’s family may our Heavenly Father give peace and comfort during this difficult time.
