We were blessed to have a wonderful Auntie Naya. She loved her niece and nephews. She had a BIG heart for all of us. Remembering Auntie Naya singing “Volver Volver” . Auntie was an inspiration and talented woman. So many memories . Prayers to The Family that was so dear to Auntie Naya. She will be greatly missed. Love Dianna Castro

My auntie was from a rural town called Berthoud, CO, a country girl at heart, before she took that train to California where she called home for many years with her sister Tillie who precedes her in death. She was the youngest of many siblings, her parents Emilio and Barbarita Gallegos precede her in death. We all called her “Naya” our beautiful auntie. We all hold dear and special memories of her. She was an artist dabbling in painting, ceramics, drawing. I especially appreciated her, because I to had become an artist, we shared many conversations in art. She alway found that special something in each of us, we will all cherish. She never married or had children, but she was so rich in nieces and nephews, and the little ones Lola and Cristian who loved her so. My auntie loved her back yard, she had grown an avocado tree, she had persimmons, the biggest lemons I ever saw, and loved sunflowers. And had a big heart for animals. My sister Barbara Rose said it right “You are our Sunshine “ and will be sadly missed by all of us who loved her. I listen to “Country Road Take Me Home” I can hear her singing. Thank you for all those summers I stayed with you ... memories of the heart ❤️
