On May 21, 1933 Mary was born in Monrovia, CA where she spent her childhood, teen years and young adult life with her sisters and brothers. She met her husband Arthur Torres and they fell in love, got married, and moved to Azusa, CA where they raised 3 wonderful children together; Arthur, Anthony, and Catherine. She worked as a cook for Glendora School District where her love for cooking and baking created memories and recipes she shared with her kids and grandkids. Mary loved to care for her own family, neighbors and friends alike through cooking, baking, and hosting parties bringing her own community together with help from her husband Arthur. In her free time Mary loved shopping, cooking, baking, spending time in her garden especially with her husband Arthur. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family--her kids, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved watching movies on Hallmark, episodes of Law & Order, and keeping up to date on current events through local news channels and CNN. Mary has 7 grandchildren and 8 great grand children who she loved and enjoyed spending time with. She always made sure her loved ones were cared for and in her last moments spent her time with her family. Mary Angela Torres spent 93 amazing years living her life to her fullest and always reminded others to also live their life to their fullest.
