I am sorry to hear this.  I knew Lee when he owned and managed his firm since 15 years ago.  He specialized and emphasized the compliance of any safety codes and regulations to all the projects under his leadership with the highest moral standards including several MOTEMS auditing projects.  His hard working contributions to this country will be memorized and his spirits will be continued in our mind.

The Hillsborough High School Class of 1958 was sad to learn of Nelson's passing.  Although we had not been in touch for many years, he will be missed.  Our prayers go out to his family.  Wayne and Sandy Ratliff Williams

I am the newest addition to the mandley family as i married his granddaughter lori ann. I didn't quite get to meet lee but through visiting with the family and seeing all of his accomplishments I know how amazing of a person he really was. He has instilled so much great things in all of his family and I can only hope to leave such a great legacy as he has. My condolences to all of the family and friends of lee. God bless

I knew Lee for the last 7 years working at SUN.
He was one of the last engineers I know that had a full engineering background & could be a project manager at the same time.  He could think thru a design & lay it out for the designers to work on.  He had a depth of knowledge of the codes & practical knowledge of how things work together.  He always put his all into a project, many times giving the client more than they paid for.  I thought lee would retire 5 years ago, but he kept plugging away.  I know he loved his work.

I am so sorry to hear of Lee's passing, and the loss to you and the many people he knew and worked with. I "met" Lee via the phone about 30 years ago, when we were both working to develop our engineering businesses. He probably wondered why I called him, but he was so easy to talk with, so sincere, and it was such a pleasure to have those conversations. I have had the pleasure to speak with him personally in more recent years, and concur with the feelings of others in this guest book. He was a very nice and special person, I enjoyed and appreciate knowing him, and he will be missed. My sincere condolences to you.

Dear Mrs. Nelson Lee Mandley,

I am truly sorry for your loss. I had worked with Lee for over seven years at Sun Engineering, and his passing was absolutely shocking to me. Lee was my mentor in this field and I learned so many from him. I was heartbroken to hear the news, and I want to you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I remember Lee as a gentle spilt, hard working and quality leader. He kept telling me to take time-off from work for my two years old daughter as I desired while I was working on the project he was managing. He told me that I wouldn't remember what I did professionally, but I will always remember what I did with my daughter when I retire. He said good to be a hard worker, but job should not be my priority. It was kind words from him which I will never forget.
