Opal Marlene Small passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Omaha, Nebraska after 45 years of living with M.S. She was proceeded in death by her husband Vernon G. Small, her sister Kathrein R. Holkam, and her parents Gene and Opal Reeley. She leaves behind a son, Guy Small, daughter Marty Van Middelkoop, grandson Christopher Van Middelkoop, granddaughter Nicole Van Middelkoop, and great-grandson Donavin Van Middelkoop; all of Omaha, Nebraska.
Marlene grew up in Azusa, California and was a proud graduate of Citrus Union High School. She spent her life taking care of her family, volunteered with the P.T.A., Boy Scouts and many others over the years. She loved to sew and crochet. Marlene was a devoted Baptist and was active with her church.
She will be deeply missed by her family and community.
