Patricia Ann Torricelli passed away, peacefully, at the age of 87 in her own home on Friday, March 22nd. She passed holding her sons’ hands, with family present. Pat was born on March 17th, 1932 (St. Patrick's Day), in Easthampton, Mass. to Odina and Margaret Vincellette. She was the last of 3 siblings, her sister Claire and her brother Don. She was married to the love of her life, Alfred (Fred) Torricelli on December 29th, 1952. She is survived by her two sons, Mark and John, daughter-in-laws Cheryl and Doreen, 4 grandchildren Justin, Cara, Danielle and Rachael and 4 great grandchildren Arielle, Dominic, Aria and Mara.
Patricia graduated nursing school in Springfield Mass. in 1952. She worked as a nursing instructor at her school, and also in pediatrics. Mark was born in October of 1955 and 11 months later Fred convinced her to California, at his father's request. They moved to South Pasadena and then to Duarte. John was born in October of 1960. Finally they settled into their home in Bradbury. Pat worked as a RN at Huntington Memorial Hospital, and as a nurse administrator in the San Gabriel Valley Head Start program.
Patricia was a great mother, wife and friend. She had a special gift of caring and being empathetic towards others, the depth which cannot be truly expressed here. An undeniably special person has been lost. Heaven is lucky to have her, and perhaps St. Patty's Day should be celebrated in her honor.
Love you mom!
