It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Benner on September 1st, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on June 11th, 1930, in Harlingen, Texas, Peggy spent most of her adult life in Upland, California. She dedicated many years to working at Chaffey HS District in Ontario before retiring, and then continued her career for six more years at Tolle Nursery in Upland as a secretary and handling bookkeeping duties. Peggy had a passion for travel and embarked on numerous adventures with friends across the United States and around the world. Apart from traveling, she cherished spending time with loved ones, tending to her beautiful flower garden, and following the Dodgers, Lakers, and Fox News.
To our beloved mom/grandma, may you rest in peace in the embrace of our compassionate Lord and Saviour.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Hortensia Benner, her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and James Whinery, her grandchildren Chad, Mark (and wife Angelica), and Jillian Whinery, step-granddaughter Socorro Allen, and seven great-grandchildren.
