April 22, 1949 – September 8, 2025
Penelope “Penny” Wieder passed away on September 8, 2025, in San Dimas, California, at the age of 76. She was born on April 22, 1949, in Fontana, California, to David and Josephine McClure.
Penny dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was a devoted stay-at-home mother for many years. Her husband, Robert, worked at Jeffrey’s Bank Note in Los Angeles. Robert held a very good position with the company, which printed currency—primarily for Mexico. Because of that good job, Penny was able to stay home and raise their children.
Because of Robert’s health, Penny and her husband eventually switched roles, with Penny entering the workforce while Robert took on more responsibilities at home. During this time, Penny returned to school to become a bookkeeper and went on to spend over 20 years working for the Citrus Valley Association of Realtors, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and strong work ethic.
Her love for church and community was a guiding light throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Wieder; her parents, David and Josephine; and her three older brothers, Thomas, Gordon, and Roger.
Penny is survived by her five children: Debra Jacques (husband Jason), Jeffery Wieder, Andrew Wieder. Tiffany Wieder, and Christopher Wieder. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
A funeral service will be held on October 11, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in La Verne, California, to honor and celebrate Penny’s life.
Penny will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her deep love for her family, and the warmth and grace she brought to all who knew her.
