I first met her when I worked for the Citrus College cafeteria. She hired me on the spot because she was a very kind woman. I did not know she passed but I am thankful for her generosity, her sense of humor, and her overall caring way she dealt with people. I hope the family will be blessed, and thank you for this women’s great joy she brought to so many people.

You were such a pistol and I enjoyed every chat we had in the cafeteria.  You were funny, feisty and full of spunk.
I will truly miss your spirit.  RIP you made us proud!

I worked with Philomena at Citrus College and have nothing but fond memories of her hard work and dedication to our campus events. I looked forward to seeing her during my lunch breaks and also had great memories of working with her while I coordinated a few events. She impressed us all with her amazing culinary skills as well as food display, table decor, and an overall positive attitude. It was obvious that she cared deeply about her staff-- especially her student workers. She will be greatly missed by all of us. I extend my deepest condolences to Philomena's family. 

Philomena was larger than life to me, so generous. I can't remember ever seeing a frown on her beautiful face. She would greet you with her "Hello, Darlin'!", love on you, listen to you, really listen, and send you on your way with a lighter spirit.

She was gutsy, funny and patient. I can attest to this from every meal pick up I had to get for my teams or every college event where she was busily bring beautiful food to share with us.  She fed your body but with treats so lovely they fed your soul too. 

She was authentic in her kindness. She wasn't a "copy", Philomena was an original in every way. You knew where you stood with her.  

I am sorry for her family's loss and so grateful they shared her with us.

I'm sorry to hear about Philomena's passing.  We loved your food and your smile at Citrus.  St. Patrick's Day will never be the same.

I am saddened at the passing of dear Philomena.  She was a wonderful person and so funny.  The cafeteria at Citrus will NEVER be the same ... when she retired in 2017 I just couldn't go to the cafeteria knowing she had retired and the cafeteria was so different without her.  I could always count on her even with a last minute 'catering' need and the FOOD...oh my goodness the FOOD!!  She would tease me but ALWAYS came thru... think of you often - rest in peace !!! I worked with Philomena when I was working in the fiscal services department. I absolutely loved our colorful conversations :)You always knew where you stood with her. She was very sweet and kind and always looked forward to seeing her. Her meals were the best also! 

You were an amazing woman who made my job a lot more fun planning events for EOP&S/CARE at Citrus.   You were always so professional and so nice to work with.   God Bless You and your family!  Love and hugs, Jamie

I will always remember Philomena's sweet smile and warm greeting every time I saw her on campus at Citrus College. She always made sure to make time to say hello and make me laugh. She was a special and extraordinary lady. Rest well Philomena. 

Philomena, always brought a smile to my face at Citrus.  She was full of life and laughter ... and her meals were so beyond cafeteria food ... they were gourmet meals.  I remember how she loved to celebrate St. Patty’s day ...  and she would always call me “honey” .... Philomena was an incredible person who will be missed.  Thanksgiving at Citrus will not be the same.  



The memories I have of Philomena, are the times I would go to the Citrus College cafeteria.  I enjoyed our conversations, the food and how many times we laughed and cried about life.  The minute I walked in the cafeteria, you made time to tell me hi and ask, how I was doing.
I especially enjoyed and miss St. Patrick's Day celebration at Citrus,  turkey and trimmings on Tuesdays.  Philomena you were the best.
Rest in peace Philomena!  I thank God for your friendship at Citrus College.

I will always remember Bunty's humor.  May she find peace with our Lord in heaven.  She is now with her beloved brother Tom and I can hear their laughter rumbling through the clouds.  May her Irish smile remain in the hearts of all of us that knew her.  God bless her family.
