I have sweet memories of my dear aunt but none compare to the many trips we did very early Sunday mornings to the Azusa Swap Meet. She always came prepared with home made burritos and cafe- miss them days. 

Thank you, Tia for always being so welcoming, and a great friend to my mom. May your soul RIP now and I know your memory will live forever through Lupie & Sonia.

I’m very sorry for your loss. Tia Ramona always made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was a very strong and loving woman. 

My condolences to the family.  Ruben has spoken so lovingly of Ms Herrera's family, she was so clearly cherished by her loved ones. May your memories console you as you grieve. 

First I would like to say  my Lupe's mom treated me great from the first time I ever met her and as time passed I fell in love with the woman and mom that she was.

My memories are when I would sing this old Mexican song to her and I only knew a few lines from the song, but she would smile and laugh but at the same time enjoy.  I also would dance with her while she listened to her Spanish station on the radio  as she sat on her wheelchair in the living room. We both would laugh as I held her hand as I did my so called dancing and Lupe would look on.

I never did call Romona by her first name out of respect, the reason, I am old school I guess.  She was always senora to me, and I used senora as an endearing word. Romna was funny and had a sense of humor that would make you laugh. 

Romona was a great Mom, Wife, Grandma, friend, relative, and most of all a beautiful person in and out. She was a very lucky mother to have two great daughter's , Lupe and Sonia who loved and took great and outstanding care of her.  The caring was total love from the heart.

As for me looking in from the outside so to speak. Lupe was a GREAT caring daughter. I know first hand the sleepless nights Lupe had along with worry, hard work, and the care and love Lupe gave her mom, it WAS 2nd to none. It was beautiful to watch and listen to because this was love and care that any amount of money could not buy. 

 The Grand kids played a part in the caring of their Grandma as well, but hats off to Jonathan (grand son)  who spent a few years literally taking care of her. This had to be mentioned because it was hard work for all of the family. 

Lastly, I will miss you senora. The singing, dancing, your laughs, your love and most of all, YOU.  I hope you see my mom and hopefully I will see both of you later. I love you and GOD is with you now.
