Raul Caldera

Raul is survived by his 3 children Marcus, Vivian and Diane. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Celia and Manuel Gonzalez and siblings Aurora “Huera” Santana, Sylvia Van Cleef, and Manuel Gonzalez.

Raul was born April 5th in El Paso, Texas to Celia Gonzalez. He married Yolanda Sanchez in August of 1962. In 1963 he served a full tour in Vietnam for the United States Army. Raul was very proud to have served his country, awarding him the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal along with his Expert Sharpshooter badges.

As a father he was always able to share his pastimes with his children such as fishing, bird watching, camping, hunting and gardening. Throughout his years he remained an avid gardener, showing off his garden to visitors and talking about his future gardening plans. He was also an active member for his local VFW. He made sure to participate in local parades and honor fellow veteran services.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
