

Rosa Esperanza Benites Cardenas, 88, born August 1, 1932 in Lima, Peru. Daughter to Daniel and Cirila Cardenas. Sister to Ernesto Cardenas, Augusto Cardenas, Carlos Cardenas, Nora Cardenas, Nila Cardenas, Ricardo Cardenas, and Raquel Cardenas. “Tita” Rosa came to the U.S. in 1966 and lived in Los Angeles County for over 51 years. Always a hard worker, she worked as a Lab Technician, 6 days a week until she retired at the age of 78. She is survived by her niece Teresa Leon, grand niece Deenella Barrientos, nephew Luis Cardenas, grand niece Brandy Cardenas, many grand nieces and grand nephews and most recently was able to meet the newest addition to the family, a great joy to her, her great, great grandson. Tita Rosa was the only grandmother that all of her grand nieces and grand nephews ever knew. She loved to travel and would run around the block on New Year’s Eve with luggage because her wish for the new year was to travel. She was a loving and devoted wife, aunt and grandmother, who always put her family first before herself, she will be greatly missed but will be forever in our hearts. Her services are under the care of Oakdale Memorial Park and Mortuary in Glendora, California.
