Santiago was born on July 27th, 1933 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He was raised there until he was in his mid-20s. He moved with his family to California and worked at various jobs until he began at Sunshine Biscuit Company in 1966, where he remained until retirement in 1995.
Once in retirement, Santiago enjoyed running on the beach, and drinking his smoothies. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching the news, shows like Jeopardy, and channels like Animal Planet and Discovery Channel.
Santiago had so much love to give, and shared it with his children, grandchildren, and everyone who he came to know as family and friend. He was well loved, and adored by all.
