Sean Darin Bilbrey

February 10, 1972 – May 27, 2025

Sean Darin Bilbrey, 53, of San Dimas, California, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2025. Born on February 10, 1972, in Glendora, California, Sean brought light and laughter into the world from his very first breath.

A Life Lived Fully

Sean possessed that rare gift of making everyone feel like his best friend. His magnetic personality and genuine warmth drew people to him effortlessly, creating a circle of friendships that spanned decades. From an early age, he approached life with boundless curiosity and infectious enthusiasm.

His childhood was a symphony of activity—racing across athletic fields, his fingers dancing across piano keys, or exploring the world with the wonder that never left him. These early passions blossomed into a rich tapestry of interests that painted the portrait of a man who lived authentically.

Music flowed through Sean’s soul. The melodies he coaxed from piano keys in his youth evolved into the rhythmic expressions he found on guitar strings. His love for remote control cars, airplanes and boats spoke to his playful spirit and appreciation for craftsmanship, while his interest in video games revealed a mind always ready for adventure and challenge.

Sean’s sleeve tattoos were more than ink on skin—they were chapters of his story, artistic expressions of a creative spirit who found beauty in the unconventional. Each design held meaning; each line told a truth about the complex, wonderful man he was.

Strength Through Adversity

Life tested Sean’s resilience, and he met every challenge with the same courage that defined his character. Following a major heart attack, he faced ongoing health struggles with dignity and determination. The loss of his cherished mother, Barbara, in 2022 left a profound void in his heart, yet even in grief, Sean’s capacity for love never diminished.

Through every trial, he remained tethered to what mattered most—his family, his friends, and the passions that brought joy to his days. His strength wasn’t measured in the absence of struggle, but in his refusal to let hardship extinguish his light.

A Legacy of Love

Today, we find solace in imagining Sean’s reunion with those who went before him—his beloved mother Barbara and William Crow, and his grandparents John and Olga Loyless and John and Betty Bilbrey. In whatever lies beyond, we trust he has found the peace that sometimes eluded him here.

Sean’s memory lives on through his father Matthew Bilbrey (Terry), his devoted siblings: Michael Bilbrey (Jason Agaton), Kristi Faust, Jon Bilbrey (Vikki), Mark Bilbrey (Kim), and Rusty Faust. His legacy continues through his many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life

We invite all who knew and loved Sean to join us in celebrating a life that touched so many hearts.
