I just found out about Susan’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Susan was a wonderful colleague as well as a good friend. She reached out to me when I lost my husband to Covid 3 1/2 years ago. I will miss Susan’s friendship.

On this day we lay to rest, a most wonderful friend and fellow nurse!  Susan and I have known each other since nursing school.  Susan and her family became my family away from home!  We studied together, Susan drove us to clinical, we ate artichoke heart dip and did donut runs in the middle of the night!  We tapped into the prayer chain from Susan's church before every exam and we knew that this was the best support we could have!  Susan's mom and dad always told us we could do it!  And that we did!  In an interesting loophole that Susan found, we were able to take our State Boards early and became practicing nurses before we graduated from APU.  That helped my with finances!  Susan and Oma let me stay at their house in our last year to help me out!  Susan recently reminded me of Oma's medicinal tea!  Susan was always there to help and support!  I love you Susan and know you will be there always!  May your memory be eternal sweet friend and school sister!

Dear Susan,

I can't express the shock and sadness I felt when I heard it….. It still feels surreal, like it can't be true. 
You were one of the best leaders, I'll always remember my interview years ago. As an immigrant, your kindness, encouragement, and support you gave to me, you didn’t know how much it meant to me and my family. After  I started my nursing career, you worked in another hospital. When I handed you a small gift, you smiled and told me “I see the passion in your eyes”.
You shared your family stories with me. You were truly one of a kind, and I feel so lucky to have had you in my life. I want you to know that you'll always hold a special place in my heart and that I'll never forget the impact you had on my life.

Susan, I will miss you terribly. We had so much fun together at work and I will cherish all the memories.  We also had some good times away from work. Great dinners and fun going to your country club. 
I pray you are no longer in pain and that you are at peace. I know you are in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and you are free, happy and joyous. I will see you again someday my friend and colleague
