

Thomas Gonzales Jr. born September 13, 1969 in the city of Glendora, California. Tom lost his battle with renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) on June 16, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty of 21 years, his mother Stella Gonzales, his four sons, Thomas, Adrian, Joshua, and William, his two daughters Corinna and Connie, grandsons Jonathan and Augustine. His brother Armando, sisters, Martha, and Suzie and many nephews and nieces. He is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish the memories of his kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit. Tom was very devout to his Catholic Faith and enjoyed praying the Rosary everyday. Tom was a man of many interests. He enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, playing golf, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family. He was known for bringing people together with his warm-hearted nature and infectious laughter. Tom was affectionately known as “Pork Chop Tom” and was the heart and soul of the “Pork Chop Tom Blues Band”, a group that became synonymous with heartfelt blues music. With his soulful voice and masterful harmonica playing, Tom and his band captivated audiences, performing at countless festivals, clubs, and events. His dedication to his craft and ability to connect with his audience earned him a cherished place in the blues community. Tom shared his love of music with his 6 children and also helped manage his youngest son’s Mariachi band during the last 6 years of his life. Tom’s legacy of music, joy, and community will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May our beloved Tom rest in peace and may Eternal Light shine upon him.
