It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of William Patrick Herrera Jr., on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the age of 54.
William was a lifelong lover of horror movies, the Raiders football team and rock 'n' roll - always able to captivate those around him with his vast collection of stories. His storytelling was just one of the many ways he brought joy to others, along with his passion for baking, which he delighted in sharing with family and friends.
For the past 15 years, William dedicated himself to caring for his elderly parents, William Sr. and Rose Herrera, in their Hemet, California home. His unwavering love and commitment to their well-being was a testament to his kind and selfless spirit.
William also cherished time spent with his girlfriend, Jessica, visiting her and her family in Kentucky whenever possible. And no year was complete without father-son time at the Long Beach races, a tradition he and his dad shared for many years. His adventures, both big and small, will always be fondly remembered by those closest to him.
He is survived by his loving parents, William Sr. and Rose Herrera; his sister, Regina Ficara; and his beloved nieces, Marisa and Alexandria Ficara. William's generosity, humor, and vibrant presence will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Oakdale Mortuary & Memorial Park at 11 AM-1PM where family and friends are invited to share stories and memories of the man who was always ready to brighten any room.
Ordering flowers are available below, or in lieu of that option - the nieces kindly request donations be made to https://gofund.me/3aa58a45, which has been set up to help with the unexpected expenses related to William's passing.
Rest in peace, William. Your spirit, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
