Winnie was born in Los Angeles on September 5, 1942 to Odus Clive McAlvain and Mary Essie McAlvain.
Winnie is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Tafoya.
Winnie is survived by her daughters, Lori Sachs and Lisa Brotherton. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Don E Sachs, grandchildren Nicholas Sachs, Dakota O’Toole, her fiancé, Chad Bridenbaker, Sean Brotherton, his wife Nancy, Hailee Brotherton, her partner Daniel Lesko and her great grandson James Brotherton.
A memorial service for Winnie will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 1401 S Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. Following the memorial service will be a reception to follow at Clubhouse 66, 1200 E Route 66, Glendora, CA 91740.
