Helene Roberta Snyder Kassa

Helene R. Kassa, 75, born in Pine Grove, Arkansas on June 5, 1939, passed away Monday evening on June 9, 2 0 1 4 in G r a n d C o u l e e,

Washington. In September 1968 Helene married Te d Kassa, United States Navy SEAL in San Diego, California. They and their family relocated as needed with Ted’s various US Navy duty stations, before settling in Marysville, Washington. Helene enjoyed cross-stitch,

embroidery and spending time with family and friends. Following retirement Ted and Helene enjoyed spending time traveling in t heir motorhome,

particularly their annual pilgrimages to Steamboat Rock State Park with friends. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and

spoiling her grand-daughter, “Erin.” Predeceased by her son, Kenneth Wilson and sister, LaVonne Harvey; Helene’s legacy continues through her

be loved husband of 46 years, Ted Kassa; son, Greg Kassa (Margaret ) ; grandchild, Erin Kassa, and a sister, Patsy.

Cremation has taken place at Helene’s request. Services will be held at 1:00pm on the 26th of July at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave NE Lake Stevens, Wa 98258. Her family requests that any donations be made in He l e n e ’s memory t o t h e Amer ican Cancer Society,
