

Joanne Leith (73) Passed away from her home Saturday evening January 7, 2017 surrounded by her family, following a long and courageous battle with illness. Joanne was born in Nespelem, Washington to Art & Annie Moses-Circle on Monday, April 19, 1943. She loved her church – Sacred Heart Catholic Mission in Nespelem, Washington where Joanne was an active member of the Cursillo group. A proud member of the Colville Confederated Tribes; in 2016 Joanne retired as an Administrative Assistant for the tribal government after thirty-five years of service. She also served on the Colville Business Council for eight years and on the Area Agency on Aging for eight years. Joanne’s car would always turn in an every garage sale and she would invariably return with some treasure which Joanne usually purchased at a price less than the amount indicated by the seller. Joanne greatest joy was always her family, trying never to miss any sport in which her children and grandchildren were involved – especially rodeo events.
Preceded in death by her husband: Roy Jasper Leith II; son: Luther Leith; both of her parents and all twelve of her siblings; Joanne’s proud legacy lives on through her children: Victoria Circle, Billie Taylor (Randy) and Roy J. Leith III; grandchildren: Tiffany Circle, Peterdan Circle, Heather Circle, Alanna Picard, Merle Picard, Brianna Leith-Monaghan, Twila Leith-Monaghan, Kandace Leith, Chandler Leith and Aiden Picard; great-granchildren: Blayne Picard, Junie Labro, Kared Labro and Emmielu Adolph as well as many-many nephews and nieces.

Funeral will take place at 9:00am, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in the Nespelem Community Center
