Wilma S. “Sue” Nason (64) a proud member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, left us Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from Elmer City, Washington. Sue was born in Toppenish, Washington, Monday, February 1, 1954 to Gilson and Mabel Simpson-Nason. A lifelong area resident, Sue enjoyed reading magazines, watching movie videos and the colors Blue, Purple and Black. Those fortunate enough to share a meal at Sue’s, have warm memories of the delicious tastes - which flowed from her kitchen. Sue loved doing things for others, being always available to help in times of need.
Predeceased by her father: Gilson Nason; brother: Marvin Nason and sisters: Trina Jake and Trina Nason; Sue is survived by her mother: Mabel Jake; brothers: Duane Simpson, Raymond Nason, Francis Nason and Kenneth Nason (Betty), nephew: Edward Frank as well as many other family members whom she loved.
Sue’s wake began at 7:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 in the Nespelem Catholic Longhouse. Sue’s funeral was also conducted in the Longhouse at 10:00am, Saturday, December 8, 2018, followed by her graveside at the Simpson Family Cemetery No. 1 in Nespelem, Washington.
Sue’s family would like to extend a special “Heartfelt Thanks“ to each of the family and friends who selflessly contributed to help remember and celebrate Sue’s life!
