Dennis Rappaport is one of the most colorful and controversial characters in the sports world. A master negotiator, whose innovative and creative marketing included using leprechauns and gorillas, attempting a prison break-in, and suing the boxing commission for refusing to permit a black fighter to wear a yarmulke in the ring. Using his skills to maximize revenue for his fighters, Rappaport’s priority was ensuring their protection inside and outside of the ring.

In addition to making headlines in boxing, he shocked the sports world in 1989 by making an offer to buy the New York Yankees! Dennis was a welcomed high-rolling whale in casinos where he’s also encountered some colorful characters. Dennis lived life with unwavering integrity, and you always knew where you stood with him. We are so grateful for the friendships he cultivated over the years; your support has meant the world to us.
