Always there to help family and friends, Alan was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and fiancé.
Survivors include his fiancé: Shiela Rollins; parents: Richard and Barbara Bowers ; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Brad and Dianne Bowers, Brock and Leonna Bowers, all of Greeneville; nieces: Mallory Bowers, Megan Silvers, and a very special niece who he loved as his own, Brooklynn Bowers; nephews: Joey Bowers, Kayden Bowers and Brandon Bowers; grandmothers: Juanita Bowers and Agnes Henderson; aunts and uncles: Judy Rader of Parrottsville, Charles and Joyce Bowers of Morristown, Doug Bowers, Kenny and Phyllis Harrison, and Danny and Gail Roberts, all of Greeneville; several special great aunts, great uncles and cousins; and his special friends: Troy Jennings, Dennis Neas, Marshall Brown, Rick Susong, Johnny Lowery, Charles Carter, Ricky Waddell, J.J. Kuykendall and many, many more.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lacey Henderson and Ottice Bowers; and an uncle, Jerry Rader.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Raymond Perry will officiate.
Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Bowers, Brandon Bowers, Rick Susong, Dennis Neas, Johnny Lowery and Marshall Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Susong, Bryan Susong, Troy Jennings, Brian Presley, Scott Thomas, Charles Carter, Lloyd Wallace, Clyde Brooks, Craig Gaby, Jeff Lewis, Ryan McClain, George Price, Brandon Baskette, Danny “Satch” Sluder, Tim Neas, Charles Darnell, Herbert Norris, Marvin Renner, Marty Renner, Charlie Hensley, Mike Hensley and Nick Fillers.
