

Although she experienced declining health for the past few months, she was able to celebrate her 92nd birthday on August 17th, with several family members.
She met and married the late Cleatis Holder at an early age. They became Christians in early years and were baptized and joined the congregation of First Baptist Church in 1946 where Cleatis served faithfully in many areas until his death.
Alma was a very gifted and talented lady and she continued to share her love of Christ through various departments of ministry of the church and in the community with grace and dignity.
While Alma and Cleatis were not blessed to become parents, they enjoyed fellowship with family and friends and were very interested in their lives, especially young people.
Survivors include a nephew, Kenny Casteel and wife, Lorraine; a great niece, Robin Casteel; a great great nephew, James Burgner; other nieces and nephews: Louise Booker, Frances Shelton and husband, Donnie, Howard Beals, Bobby Cutshall and wife, Betty, Roger Cutshall and wife, Carol, Mariedith Broyles and husband, Bobby, Willis Cutshall and former wife, Debbie; several other great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews; and a loving church family at First Baptist Church and her friends on Carson Street.
The famiy wishes to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff of Laughlin Health Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late Ott and Mattie Casteel and in addition to her late husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Lavada Casteel, James and Azalie Casteel; a nephew, Allen Casteel; a niece, Darlene Tibbetts; special friends, Mable Bowman and Betty Ingle.
The funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose
Hill Chapel with Rev. Dr. David Green officiating. Interment will follow at GreeneLawn
Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Bowman, Tim Cutshall, Eli Cutshall, Bill Cutshall, Sam Broyles and Steve Broyles. Members of her Sunday School Class and members of Widows on a Journey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 1:30 -4:30 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
