

He retired from Magnavox with 40 years of service.
Amos loved to garden and just being outdoors. He was a kind and generous man who lived for his family and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his granddaughter and husband: Shanna and Stephen Carlton of Greeneville; granddaughter: Niki Conner of Norfolk, Virginia; two great granddaughters: Taylor and Kallie Carlton; two great grandsons: Hunter and Cole Carlton; special nephews: J. D. Lowe and Bernard Franklin; three special nieces and spouses: Carol and Grady Norton, Geneva and Joe Kilday, and Dorothy Ball; and special friends: Randy and Rhonda Cutshaw, Danny Cooper, David Anderson, Brenda Hall, Ann Ward and the late Oscar Ward, Barbara Fox, Cindy Walter and numerous other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years: Betty Franklin; daughter: Karen Cox; parents, Ruble and Velva Franklin; five sisters; and two brothers.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Danny Cooper officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Carlton, Hunter Carlton, Randy Cutshaw, J. D. Lowe, Tim Ward, and Joe Kilday.
