

He retired from Magnavox after 33 years of service.
Doug was a dedicated and committed member of the First Church of God.
He was a U. S. Army veteran, having been stationed in Germany for 2 years. He was also a major contributor to the Pee-Wee and Midget Athletic Program in Greene County. Mr. Devoti really enjoyed participating and being involved with athletics. He was a long term and active member of the Greeneville Moose Lodge and enjoyed all activities with his Fabulous 50’s Group.
He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He loved to cook, especially Saturday morning breakfast and making homemade candy for family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Renee and Chris Pickering of Greeneville and Ingrid and Jimmy Kirk of Mosheim; grandchildren: Dustin, Derek, and Jordan Kirk and Kaci Kirk-Hill; great grandsons: Mason and Caidyn Hill; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Donna and Bobby Orrick of Greeneville and Jessica Novinger of Maryville; a brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Joan Devoti of Maryville; a sister-in-law: Carolyn Devoti of Greeneville; several special and supportive nieces and nephews; and two very special great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his extraordinary and loving wife, Vada Jo Devoti; his parents, Buster Anthony and Mary Jones Devoti; and a big brother, Tommy Devoti.
The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home and 11 am -12 pm Wednesday preceding the funeral service at 12 noon Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the First Church of God. Rev. Darrell Sovine, Rev. Stephen Aiken, and Rev. Nathan Leasure will officiate.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Kirk, Jordan Kirk, Shane Devoti, Josh Devoti, David Devoti, Neal Devoti, Robbie Miser and Robert Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of First Church of God, the Fabulous 50’s Group, and the Greeneville Moose Lodge.
