

She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cogdell was a member of the First Church of God.
She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years: Ralph Cogdell; a son and daughter-in-law: Ed and Jeri Cogdell of Lawrenceville, GA; a daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Wayne Shoun of Huntersville, NC; four grandchildren: David Cogdell and wife, Michelle, Anna Lee Cogdell, Scott Shoun and Phillip Shoun; one sister and brothers-in-law: Dorothy “Susie” and Horst Dreger; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Karen Brown, John and Marge Brown; sisters-in-law: Helen Brown and Rosie Cogdell; brother-in-law: Clarence Cogdell; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Georgia Goodman Brown and was preceded in death
one brother, Norman Brown; one sister, Margaret Burger.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Gerald Rudd
officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Greeneville.
Pallbearers will be David Cogdell, Scott Shoun, Phillip Shoun, Carl Dreger, Hans Dreger and Chris Lyon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Shoun, Dr. Joe Austin, the staff of Signature Healthcare of Greeneville and the staff of Caris Healthcare.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
