

She was a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Knoxville and served faithfully for many years, as long as her health permitted. Betty loved being a wife and mother. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading and studying the Bible. She was especially fond of writing and reading her letters from friends and family. She worked as a school zone crossing guard for twelve years, which she took much pleasure in.
She is survived by a sister-in-law and caregiver: Carolyn Craddock Parman; a brother-in-law: Bill Dearstone Sr., both of Greeneville and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends: Glenda Davis, Lori Cox and family, Bill and Gladys Holt, and Becky Valentine, all of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years: Hal “Cotton” Jones; a daughter: Nancy Jones Saunders; her parents: Bassil and Lillie Tullock Craddock; brothers: Troy D. Craddock and Hugh Thomas Craddock and a sister: Joan Craddock Newberry.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, January 17th at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens with Bill Dearstone, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:00 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
