Betty Ruth Misamore Stewart went home to be with the Lord on this day of February 26, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was a beautiful, kind woman, sometimes quiet but never met a stranger. She was very talented with her hand learning the art of quilting, ceramics, and sewing.
She worked hard all her life. She worked hand in hand with her husband in their rocking chair business for ten years. She helped farm in her younger years. She made quilts of all shapes and sizes for everyone that wanted one. She helped raise her four children, several grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Her husband and her traveled many times back and forth between Tennessee and Texas. She lived and loved life at its fullest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Mack” Stewart; son, James R. Stewart; her parents, Robert and Ida Broyles Misamore; two brothers, Ray and Randall Misamore; and a grandson, Joseph Alvey.
Left to cherish her life and memories are family: daughter and caregiver, Rose (Bobby) Jennings; daughter, Sharon Diane Alvey; son, Steve M. Stewart; grandchildren” Brooklynn Jennings, April (Weston) Hensley, Jeramy (Kayla) Stewart, Angela Alvey Talley, Leonard Alvey, Steven “Bubba” (Becky) Stewart, Renae Pryor, and Jamie Lunsford; great grandchildren: Mack and Gracie Hensley, Iva Stewart, Hayden Norton, Christopher (Racheal) Norton, Stephanie (Malcolm) Curry, Ashley (Todd) Wilhoit, Issac Cutshall, Thade Alvey, Brenna Alvey, Nicki Lunsford, Damien Painter, Brittany Nordin, Crystal Allen, and Bradley Stewart; and several great-great grandchildren.
