
She was a lifelong member of Pine Springs Baptist Church which she loved attending as long as her health permitted. She was a 50 year plus member of Greeneville Chapter #223 Order of the Eastern Star and was a former employee of Ball Zinc.
Having a passionate interest in all things agriculture she loved her time on her Houston Valley farms. She loved the mountains surrounding her home.
An avid reader she loved books, reading the newspaper, doing word searches and puzzles as long as her eyesight permitted.
Going to auctions, antiques, trips to the beach, and traveling delighted her.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Herbert Wills; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara (Randy) Conner and Jean Wills of Johnson City; three grandchildren, April Taylor and Ben Conner of Greeneville, and Kristen Conner Blair of Jonesborough; one great grandson, Robert Daniel Blair; two sisters-in-law, Susie Wills and Jean Tarlton of Erwin; special friends Bryant and Jackie Boles, Sandra Bishop, and George Adams; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Reta Faye Wills Taylor; her parents George and Faye Ricker Tarlton; two sisters, Dorothy (Lucille) Arrington and Cleo Tarlton; two brothers, James (Jack) Tarlton and Jerry Tarlton.
There will be no formal visitation. However, friends and family are asked to meet at Pine Springs Cemetery at 3:30pm on Friday, June 9 for a graveside service, officiated by Rev. Gerald Tarlton and Rev. Warner Metcalf.
There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service preceding the graveside service conducted by Greeneville Chapter #223.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the Staff of Laughlin Health Care Center.
