

He was a former employee of Modern Tractor, S.G. Wells Implement, and W&W Implement, where he was a well known Greene County tractor mechanic.
Mr. Linebarger was a charter member of Greene Hills Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Gladys Linebarger; a daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Dennis Winckler of Greeneville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby and Kathy Linebarger of Afton and James and Kim Linebarger of Greeneville; four granddaughters: Rachel and spouse, Adam Hansel of Greeneville, Lethia Kilday of Greeneville, Elizabeth Linebarger of Afton, and Lana Linebarger of Greeneville; step granddaughter: Lyndsey Helbert of Greeneville; great grandson: Benjamin Hansel; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special caregiver: Rebecca Mercer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill and Reba Jones, Landon and Marlene Wilds of Greeneville, D.C. and Marie Wilds of Chuckey, Aubrey and Vivian Wilds of Jonesboro, Indiana, Ed and Bertrice Butcher of Marion, Indiana, Richard and Bernice Myers of Lake Wales, Florida, and Virginia Coates of Marshall, North Carolina.
He was the son of the late Robert and Bessie Cobble Linebarger and was preceded in death by a grandson: Talon Kilday; a daughter-in-law: Renee Linebarger; a sister and brother-in-law: Juliet and Clarence Johnson; and a brother-in-law: Fain Lawrence Wilds.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Pastor Mike Taylor and Pastor Roger Ball will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery (Snapps Ferry Road).
Pallbearers will be Phil Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Billy Joe Wilds, Jeff Jones, Johnny Jones, and Josh Wyatt.
Honorary pallbearers willb be the nurses and staff of Amedysis Home Health and Hospice.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
