

He was retired from Parker Hannifin.
His family states, “He was a farmer and loved working in the garden and taking care of his farm animals, his family, and his best friend, his dog, Commander.”
Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Wanda Ruth Miser; two sons and daughters-in-law: Tommy and Amy Miser, Billy and April Miser; two daughters and a son-in-law: Kathy and Ron Leakins, Mary Miser of the home; grandchildren: Ashley Miser, Madelin Miser, Robbie Miser, and Ronald Leakins; sisters: Mary Katherine Waites and Bonnie Collins; a brother and sister-in-law: Hayden and Billie Miser; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jerry and Agnes Ryans, Helen Miser; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Lee Jessie and Lucy Mae Murdock and was preceded in death by seven brothers, Obie, Arny, Worly, Roy, Ralph, Jimmy, and Grover Miser; five sisters, Sarah Ethel Miser, Vivian Lois Miser, Clara Miser, Willie Nell Miser, and Montie Wilson.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Danny Ricker, Rev. Ronnie Baxter, and Rev. Oscar McAmis will officiate.
Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, at New Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Harmon, Terry Anderson, Roger Carter, Butch Sexton, Robert Morgan, Bryan Frazier, Freddie “Roho” Collins, and Gary Wykle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Montgomery, Dr. Dharmen Patel, Troy Patterson, Kenneth and Kenton Weems, his friends at Wal-Mart and at the Chow Hounds Diner, Doyle “Slick” Key, Denis Key, Danny Ellis, Jeffery King, Teddy Morgan, Frank Blake, Terry Wykle, Sonny Wykle, Chris Wykle, Bobby Orrick, Jim and Edna Cutshaw, Jody Ryans, Jimmy
McAmis, and Ivan Collins.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
