OBITUARY

Brenda Lee Bowens

March 25, 1948March 9, 2019

Brenda Lee Bowens, age 70, of Sinking Springs Road, Midway, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

There is a very special bond between a mother and her son. It broke my heart that your time here on earth is done. I want to say thank you, Mom, for all that you have been. You were not just my Mother, But also my best friend. If not for you, what would I have been?

A blessing is what you truly were to me! That is what I can clearly see. There are so many reasons why I love you so. I tried my very best to always let it show. There are no words that can express how I hate to see you go. It will be hard without you, this I surely know. I believe that God called you as He sat upon His throne and as you entered the gates of heaven, He said to you, Welcome Home! You now have a mansion of your very own. The love you shared here on earth, there is no measure of its worth. Your grandsons brought special mirth. That love grew more with their birth. And even though we will cry, the love and memories will never die and each time we look to the sky we all hold on that that love….this is not Goodbye! With all our love…..your family.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Randall and Mamie Bowens, two grandsons: Charles Ray Bowens and Richard Donald Allen Bowens, and a special friend: Neva Westmoreland.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Ruby Keller and her grandmother: Leone Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating.

Interment will follow the service in River Hill Cemetery.

Such a wonderful friend. We became friends while we worked together at Magnavox. Randy you and your family were her world she was so proud of each one of you.
I’m sorry I can’t be there for you all.

I remember the time you brought Charles in for a military high and tight. I had to step away when I came back I saw a dip so I picked up the clippers and he said “I don’t think I want it any shorter” Bless his heart I have lots of fond memories of all of you. You are in my prayers. Love and prayers are sent to you all
