

Brenda Keasling Dobbelaere, age 72, of Hawkins Way, Midway, passed away, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at home. She was a faithful member of Jackson’s Chapel FWB Church where she was saved at a young age. She was known as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and nurse. She had a passion for taking care of others with many years serving as a nurse. She was cared for by her loving and devoted husband who was always by her side.
She was preceded in death by her father: Ruben Keasling; mother: Katherine Keasling Knight; step-father: Jim Knight; sisters: Martha Ann Keasling and Mary Ellen Keasling; brothers: Bob Keasling and John Keasling; father-in-law: Raymond Dobbelaere; mother-in-law: Martha Dobbelaere; brothers-in-law; Donald Dobbelaere and Art Balitz; sister-in-law: Joy Keasling; step brothers-in-law: Charles Knight, Buford (Noletta) Knight; step sister-in-law: Naoma (Bill) Renner; long time friend: Gail Kirk Farley.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Richard Dobbelaere; daughters: Amy Dobbelaere of Greeneville and Christina Wills of Midway; brother: Jakie Keasling and wife Phyllis of Mosheim; grandsons: Jacob and Zoe Luttrell of Mosheim and Levi Wills of Midway; great grandson: Jack Luttrell of Mosheim; brother-in-law: Mark (Margaret) Dobbelaere of MN; sisters-in-law: Karen Dobbelaere of MN, Mary (Dennis) Mann of MN, Barb (Jim) Menge of MN, Joan (Don) Allery of MN, Judy Keasling of Jefferson Cty, Bernice Keasling of Morristown; step sister-in-law: Christine Knight; many cousins, nephews, and nieces; longtime childhood friends: William Edington, Loretta Edington Gaylor and Janet Knight Susong.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm and 5-8 pm on Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the service to follow in the chapel at 8:00 pm. Rev. Jeff Blake will officiate. Interment will be held at Jackson’s Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be: William Edington, Steve Wilhoit, Tommy Hale, Joe Susong, Eric Keasling and Matthew Rippetoe.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jackson Chapel Fellowship Hall building fund.
The family would like to thank Dr. Oakley and staff at Summit Medical Group for several years of care. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice staff and nurse Shelley for the special care received.
